"The final wooden house wants to take wood architecture to the limit, and to prove through it that it is possible to do primitive and new architecture simultaneously. One single element – solid cedar blocks – are piled endlessly, generating a prototypical place before architecture became architecture. .The prisms shape the space through increments of 350 mm, a dimension directly corresponding to the human body. Spatial relationships that would not be possible in a conventional coplanar distribution are explored. There is no distinction between floors, walls, and ceilings."

This architectural structure caught my attention, due to the minimal and neat aesthetic that it has. The color of the wood is kept the same throughout, which makes it visually balanced. In addition, I was very interested on the abstract shapes and how they are used. This wooden installation, connects with my style preperences since its minimal, abstract and functional. Throughout the research I was fascinated by the architects thinking process, he mentions that the function of a structure is based on the users adaptation in it. In the future I will create my work, based on that phrase, since the structures we design are for the individuals around us. Lastly I was very interested on the technique and how successful the architect was to do primitive and new architecture simultaneously, which personally I believe he did exactly that.

influenced my work

The way he described his mindset and work was an element I wanted to research. I observed that he questions himself during every step of the process. In the future I aim to follow this method and questions every detail of my work, which would result to have a functional and detailed concept. Moreover, I was inspired by the abstract element, this wooden structure forms the human body and directs it to different positions.
